Martinez Pride was founded in 2023. The first event of its kind in Martinez, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and allies, was organized and run entirely by volunteers. With generous donations from sponsors, including the City of Martinez, the Contra Costa Labor Council, the Martínez Music Mafia, Del Cielo Brewing, We Need Merch, and the UPS Store 795, as well as countless individual donors, the family-friendly event was a huge success in its inaugural year with vendors, community agencies, live entertainment, and a kids' area.
